MOBILE COMMERCE - GET INTIMATE WITH THE CONSUMER
Many experts agree that Mobile Commerce is shaping a new era in retail as it is dramatically changing the consumer behaviour throughout the world. Never before the consumer had so much power as he does now! The Internet, social media and mobile technology have torn up the traditional linear 'path to purchase' used by marketers to target consumers. Shoppers use PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones to discover and research products. They may research online and buy in-store at a trusted or favourite brand or they may look and feel the product in-store and buy online. Hence, online shopping is no longer a static experience!
Mobile Commerce is now the link between stationary retail and e-commerce. Tablets and smartphones mean we can shop online anywhere and at any time. Mobile devices are changing our bricks and mortar shopping habits when we are out on the high street or at a mall. Research shows that 80% of shoppers use their mobile device in-store to enhance their shopping experience and 39% use it while in-store to search for product reviews.
Is this the end of the Big Box? No! Stationary retail stores need to be an integral part of any omni-channel strategy where retailers provide a seamless experience to shoppers both online and offline, in other words, a Mobile Commerce experience. The world is moving from a "bricks and mortar" retailing to a "bricks and clicks" shopping experience.
This retail revolution will have an enormous impact on the home improvement and garden centre industry. Therefore, participate in the 3rdEuropean Home Improvement Forum and make your own judgement on the dramatically changing face of home improvement retailing.
In order to always have an innovative vision and wide as possible in the Garden Center sector, Marco Orlandelli as CEO, will participate in the workshop of Ernest Wertheim, one of the greatest designers of Garden Centre in the world.
